Gas prices falling ahead of holiday weekend

Gas prices are on their way down as the 4th of July weekend draws near.
According to Gas Buddy and AAA, average prices in Minnesota dropped 8 cents in the last week, sitting at about $3.02 per gallon, and fell 7 cents in Wisconsin, landing at $2.97 per gallon.
Compared to this time last year, Minnesota prices are about 28 cents cheaper in 2025. In Wisconsin, the average price is down by just over 30 cents per gallon.
There was a fair amount of turmoil with gas prices in the last two weeks due to conflict in the Middle East, but with tensions easing, prices have returned to their downward trend.
Gas Buddy is projecting prices to drop nationwide as we head into the holiday weekend, which is great news for anyone travelling on the road.
