Fund to help worker who was ready to run Grandma’s, now recovering from grave injuries

(GoFundMe)
Benjamin Kidd had been preparing to run Grandma’s Marathon. Just days before the race, he had been working on a road project on Highway 61.
Authorities said an impaired driver slammed into the scissor lift he’d been on, throwing him 20 feet to the ground.
The GoFundMe says he suffered serious injuries, like a brain bleed, facial fractures, pulmonary contusions, hemothorax, fractured pelvis and sternum, a severely broken femur and elbow with tendon damage as well as multiple lacerations and bruising. He’s required two surgeries so far.
The veteran is an electrical apprentice with the IBEW 242 union.
