The United Way of Northeastern Minnesota has a program called Comforts of Home that gives people a chance to replenish things they have lost.
It’s a partnership between the United Way and local retailers, who provide new items from dishes to decor.
Volunteers spend time with the staff making sure the large selection at the agency’s office in Chisholm is ready for families.
A local church also donated handmade quilts recently.
Also, each family is given a Welcome Home basket that includes a bunch of cleaning items.
