Classmates finish annual photoshoot tradition that began in kindergarten
For the last 13 years, classmates who attended Mrs. Gordon’s kindergarten class together at Great Lakes Elementary have had a unique tradition.
It started as a simple kindergarten graduation picture at their school, but year by year grew into something more.
It became an annual tradition for the whole class to get together and take a picture every year, even throughout COVID.
Though their appearances and friend groups may have changed over time, their sense of community has not.
“We all are friends in a way, but when we come together, then it’s just like, it feels like we never left each other, even if we’re all from different friend groups, or have been through different experiences.” said Belle Modeen, one of the now seniors from that kindergarten class.
As they prepare to graduate on June 6th, they gathered one final time this morning to take their last wall photo.
