Blue Angels and Snowbirds to perform at Duluth Airshow
The Duluth Airshow falls on Independence Day weekend, July 5 & 6.
The theme for the 25th anniversary airshow is the Red-Whites and Blues. The U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels are the headlining this year. The team is known for its precision flight demonstrations and puts on spectacular show. There performance coincides the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Navy. The Canadian Forces Snowbirds are back in town as well.
Other world-class acts include the USAF F-22 Raptor Demo team, US Navy F-35C Demo Team, U.S. Navy Leap Frogs, U.S. Army Golden Knights, U.S., Navy Legacy Flight, F-16 from the 148th Fighter Wing, The U.S. Air Force Heritage Flight, Jet Waco, Jon Melby, Erik Edgren, Susan Dacy, B-25 Miss Mitchell. There will 15 static displays as well.
Attendees may want consider bring ear protection and a packable chair, unless you already secured a Presidential Chalet or Flight Line ticket. Foam ear plugs will be available for free at the show, but some of the planes are very loud, especially for children. Since you’ll be looking towards the sky, sunglasses and/or a hat are recommended.
