Bass Pro Shops opens in Hermantown

Bass Pro Shops now has an Outpost location in Hermantown (WDIO).
Bass Pro Shops opened a new store on Wednesday, and it is the first location in the Northland. The new store is located at 4275 Haines Road in Hermantown.
General Manager Joe Thompson is from Eveleth and is excited to have a store in such an outdoor-friendly location.
“We have Lake Superior. We have all of our inland lakes. We have hiking. We have waterfalls,” said Thompson. “It doesn’t matter what you want to do. If you want to go out hunting or just get outdoors on the boat, we have everything that you could ever imagine.”
To celebrate the store’s grand opening, an “Evening for Conservation” was held with live music, family-friendly activities, food trucks, and appearances from outdoor legends. 20% of most purchases from this evening will be donated to local conservation organizations.
Each Bass Pro Shops location is unique, and the Hermantown one features murals inspired by local views as well as an aquarium.
“We’re not just a retail store. We’re an entire shopping experience. When you come in here, you’ll see hundreds of pieces of taxidermy. You’re going to see our Rocky Mountains and Plains. You’re going to see our camping scenes. All sorts of different aspects of it,” said Thompson.
The store will be open 9 am – 9 pm Monday-Saturday and 10 am to 7 pm on Sundays.
