100th kitty finds a home at Wired Whisker Cafe

The Wired Whisker started in March of 2024. This cafe is first and currently only of its kind in all the Northland. Wired Whisker Cafe is a cat cafe. People are invited to come inside, enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the cafe while also having access to their cat lounge.
In the back of the cafe, there is a sealed and protected cat lounge. This area welcomes customers to take their food and drink and enjoy some time with the adoptive rescue cats the cafe is taking care of.
Through partnerships with Animal Allies, Carlton County Animal Rescue and Pet Haven the Wired Whisker has brought all sorts of cats to their lounge. All kinds of breeds and all different sizes. It is also thanks to this partnership that they were able to pass a benchmark in their first year.
The cafe just crossed its mark for 100 adoptions. Last time checked, they had already got 2 more adoptions bringing the number to 102. These cats stay with the cafe for a few weeks normally, so the owner felt it special when cat number 100 finally got a home.
“We just celebrated the other day our hundredth cat adoption,” said Misha Smith, owner of the Wired Whisker, “and it was a special one indeed because Lil was adopted, and she was definitely a crowd favorite and had been looking for her home since late November. So, it was really wonderful to see her get to be number 100.”
The cafe has found success in its partnerships and in their rescues. Now they look ahead, excited to help even more cats find a home and reach their number to 200 and beyond.
