Widespread power outages following strong overnight storms

Minnesota Power and Lake Country Power are reporting more than 150 outages across the Northland in the wake of strong overnight thunderstorms, affecting thousands of customers.
Minnesota Power’s outage map says upwards of 40 outages are currently affected more than 5,400 customers. The largest swathe of people affected is in the Nisswa area. Most of these outages are expected to be resolved around 9 A.M.
Lake Country Power’s outage map says more than 120 outages are affecting a little over 4,600 customers. A large portion of those affected are in the area of Leech Lake. No timeline has been provided on when power will be restored.
