Summer hours coming to Voyageurs National Park Visitor Centers

It is a true sign that the seasons have changed. Voyageurs National Park announce their summer hours of operation for the park’s four visitor centers. The park’s include Rainy Lake, Kabetogama Lake, Ash River, and, for the first time, the newly opened Crane Lake Visitor Center. Plus, there will be a special weekend opening this weekend to coincide with the Minnesota fishing opener and Mother’s Day.

The Rainy Lake Visitor Center will open on Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Starting, May 24 all four visitor centers will begin regular summer operations and will be open seven days a week. Their hours will be 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. throughout the summer season.

Staff at Voyageurs National Park are also planning special events in June. Mark your calendars for a Grand Opening ceremony at the Crane Lake Visitor Center on Friday, June 6 at 1:30 p.m.

The Voyageurs National Park is celebrating its 50th birthday this year, and there will be a celebration at Rainy Lake Visitor Center on Saturday, June 14 from noon – 4:00 p.m.
