Furry friends and animal lovers gathered at Bayfront Park in Duluth for the Animal Allies Walk for Animals on Saturday, June 7.

The day was filled with fun activities for the animals and the people – including costume contests and a cutest puppy competition.

Animal Allies hosts the Walk to raise money to help pets without homes.

“It’s just a really fun way for us to reconnect with the public and to see all of our animal friends here. We can see a lot of alumni, some new faces. So, it’s just a great way to kind of bring the community together and raise money for homeless pets,” said Animal Allies adoption manager and humane education manager Nicole Facciotto.

Their goal this year is to raise $52,000, and prior to the event they were at $25,000.
