One fatality in car vs plow accident

The Wisconsin State Patrol announced the death of a teenaged driver in car accident in Chippewa County on February 2.

According to the report, a Chippewa County truck was plowing on Highway 29 in Stanley, Wisconsin, when it was rear-ended by a Jeep. The driver of the Jeep, a 19-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash. The plow driver was uninjured.

The State Patrol says alcohol use was a factor in the incident, and has not released the name of the deceased pending notification of the family. The crash is still under investigation by authorities.

The Wisconsin State Patrol was assisted by the Stanley Police Department, the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department , the Stanley Fire Department , the Boyd Ambulance Service, and the Chippewa County Coroner .
