Well-known snowmobiler Levi LaVallee is asking for privacy as he performs a series of stunts around Duluth in the coming days for a video project.

The recording may result in some closures of public areas, but the City of Duluth did not disclose the time or location of the closures. The recording sessions are closed to the public LaVallee's safety and the city asks anyone who encounters him to keep going without stopping.

"We are grateful that Levi selected Duluth for this project, and we can't wait to see the impact that this will have on Duluth, business owners, and northern Minnesota," Mayor Emily Larson said in a news release.

The city said the project will be similar to one shot in St. Paul in 2016 in which LaVallee is seen snowmobiling past well-known landmarks and performing stunts.

LaVallee, who is from Minnesota, has been coming to Duluth since childhood and started his professional career at the Snocross event at Spirit Mountain. The city said he chose to record a similar project in Duluth because of his love for the city.

The video is expected to be released in mid-March.
