Mountain Dew has apologized for placing the Upper Peninsula in the wrong state.

The slight came as part of the soft drink's "Dew Nation" campaign. A map used as part of the campaign showed the UP as being part of Wisconsin, prompting a response from the satirical @UpperPeninsula account on Twitter.

The Mountain Dew account responded with an apology asking Yoopers to reply with the things they love about the UP:

Unfortunately, Mountain Dew far from the first company to forget that the UP is in Michigan.  One UP apparel and gift company even set up a page documenting dozens of errors over just a few years.
