It happened to Hannah Brown, ABC's latest "Bachelorette." After getting engaged to Jed Wyatt, she learned the next day that he has a relationship with a woman he met before he joined the dating competition show.

The two ended their engagement last month and during Tuesday's season finale, Brown announced publicly their relationship had ended.

What's next, Brown can't be sure, but she says she wants to use her platform for good.

"This has been my life for a little while now and I'm looking forward to continuing to get stronger and grow as a woman who is comfortable being on her own. I think there are a lot of opportunities out there for me so I appreciate the support but I don't think that you're done seeing me, I want to be able to use this platform to talk about what change has happened with me and that's through the good times and the bad times that I think a lot of women can relate to so I want to be able to talk about that."

She also says that even though Wyatt made a huge mistake, she believes he's a good person at his core.

"I know it's gonna be hard for him and I have already said my peace and so it's not for me to continue to punish him. I think he learned a lot and I know that there's goodness inside of him and I think he is really going to grow as a man from this and I wish him well in his future. This was not for this to be what he's remembered by because I do think he has good to give. We just _ our relationship didn't work and he made some poor choices in his past that really hurt our future."

She appreciates the support that fans are giving her for staying true to herself.

"I absolutely feel the support. There have been times where the criticism feels like the loudest but I've always felt and cared for the people who have just loved me, supported me, understood me throughout even choices and decision that some people, you know, may have made differently. You don't know what it's like to be in this position so it's been really good to have the people just love on me."
