It's time to beautify the Downtown Waterfront, and the Greater Downtown Council is looking for volunteers to help plant flowers. Approximately 100 streetscape planters are currently sitting empty, and are in need of planting flowers. The 18th annual "Dig in for the Downtown Waterfront" will be held on Wednesday, June 2 and Thursday, June 3.

Volunteers are asked to meet at the corner of 5th Avenue West and Superior Street near the Ordean Plaza on Wednesday June 2nd to plant flowers along Superior Street.  On Thursday, volunteers should report to the Northwest Iron Parking Lot at the corner of Buchanan Street and Lake Avenue to plant flower for Canal Park.

Bring garden tools and gloves if you have them.  The Greater Downtown Council’s Clean & Safe Team will maintain the planters throughout the summer season.
