Twin Ports Pinup, a local women’s social group, held a memorial event for late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg at the Cedar Lounge in Superior today.

The event celebrated the life of Ginsburg through live music, clothes reflecting the judge, and signs showing her achievements for women.

Caroline Routley, the president of Twin Ports Pinup, said Ginsburg was an empowering figure to both women and men.

“She worked really hard for equal rights and she made huge steps and broke through a lot of ceilings,” said Routley.

Donations were accepted at the event, and all the money collected will be donated to the Lake Superior Life Care Center located at 1823 Belknap St, Superior.
