St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth has confirmed that an employee has tested positive for COVID-19, but not as a result of their work at the hospital.

The hospital says the case is travel-related and that all close contacts of the patient have been notified.

"St. Luke’s Occupational Health has been working with the employee and completed an investigation into the employee’s contacts and followed up. The health and safety of our employees and patients is of utmost importance," a hospital spokesperson said.

State health officials have reported five confirmed COVID-19 cases in St. Louis County and four in Douglas County.
