It has now been over five years since Sheila St. Clair disappeared from Duluth's Central Hillside neighborhood, and police continue to ask the public's help to find her.

In a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Duluth Police Chief Mike Tusken said the case is pretty much at the same place as it was five years ago. He adds police continue to follow up on leads, but that more information is still needed to solve the case.

Tusken says they received a new tip as recently as Monday. He says it's important they follow up on every one for the possibility of it leading to a break in the case.

"We have a puzzle we're trying to solve, and we don't know what that one missing piece is that may lead to, or contribute to, or find another person that knows, so we take every lead very seriously," Tusken said.

St. Clair was last seen in the area of the 100 Block of W. 3rd Street on August 20, 2015. She wasn't reported missing until about 20 days later on September 10, 2015.

Tusken says this highlights the importance of reporting any issues as soon as possible.

St. Clair was 48 when she went missing, and would be 53 now.

She is described as a Native American woman, who is 5'5" tall, 125 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about St. Clair's disappearance is asked to call the Duluth Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit at 218-730-5050.
