Red Lake Tribal Police are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to a conviction of the person or persons who vandalized a boundary sign near Ponemah.

The sign was spray painted with the message: "Trump 2020," along with a Nazi swastika symbol.

In a press release on their Facebook Page, Red Lake Tribal Police said: "The nature of these racist messages is very concerning to the Red Lake Band, in light of the fact that white supremacists have recently been emboldened throughout the United States to carry out extreme actions. The Red Lake Band believes it is important to nip this behavior in the bud."

Anyone with information about the person or persons who vandalized the sign is asked to call 218-679-3313.
