Local radio station Life 97.3 and St. Luke's are partnering again for the third annual Northland's Largest Baby Shower to help families in need all month long.
The effort encourages the community to donate typical baby shower items that go to Northland pregnancy care centers to help families in need. They said especially during these trying times, it's even more important to help.
"We have so many local pregnancy care centers that we want people to be aware of and aware of their needs. As a radio station it's really easy to spread awareness of those different things and especially just the start of the year we want to make sure new moms and dads have what they need," said Jill Mikkelson, an on-air host for Life 97.3.
They are taking new items like diapers, wash cloths, onsies, feeding items, gift cards, and more. There's several drop-off sights across the Northland including:
Duluth – St. Luke’s Building A on the first floor, Cub Foods, Life 97.3 Ministry Center
Superior, WI – Central Assembly Superior
Cloquet, MN – Common Ground Coffee
Chisholm, MN – Chisholm Baptist Church
Hayward, WI – Hayward Wesleyan Church
Ashland, WI – Salem Baptist Church
Proctor, MN – The Landing Church
Grand Rapids, MN – Inspirations Bookstore
You can learn more online or by calling 218-722-6700. They have an Amazon baby registry.
