It’s a change of Executive Directors at CHUM, a Duluth organization that fights to end homelessness, as their newest Executive Director has big plans for the future.

Lee Stuart will have her last day at CHUM today and John Cole will be the new director at the organization. Lee has spent the past 8 years working for the organization and improving the community.

Lee says she’s received overwhelming support from the community, staff, and the congregations that have volunteered for CHUM. And is super supportive of John in the new position.

And now John Cole is ready to take up the mantle and help better the community. He is super appreciative of Lee’s work saying, “She’s a phenomenal lady and she’s done great work and she’s left a great structure, and system for me to build upon.”

His biggest goals for the organization include addressing the underlying factors that go into homeless like the housing crisis. “I feel like we need to come together all the entities all the players to come together to come up with an overarching plan to address homelessness in Duluth.”
