Lake Superior Stormwater Chalkfest "draws" attention to storm-water runoff

The Lake Superior Stormwater Chalkfest kicked-off at the Ecolibrum3 Fall Party Saturday morning in Lincoln Park.

The Lake Superior Stormwater Chalkfest is a week-long event that is meant to literally "draw" attention to the ways storm-water runoff from roads, sidewalks, parking lots, and yards impacts local waterways and Lake Superior

Participants created sidewalk-chalk art pieces to show those impacts and what Lake Superior means to them.

"Duluthians live next to the greatest Great Lake in the world and I’m so proud to be able to serve the community and to help with an event like this,” said George Masson, a member of the Minnesota Green Corps.
