Harry Potter week wraps up at CSS

The College of St. Scholastica wrapped up a week of Harry Potter themed fun, just in time for Halloween.

The college is infamously referred to as Hogwarts, because of Tower Hall on the Duluth campus. So students spent the week channeling their inner J.K. Rowling for Harry Potter week.

Each day, CSS Student Activities hosted various Hogwarts events, ending the week with a "fly-in" movie night.

"We thought, how could we do this and make it COVID safe? And so we're encouraging people to bring their pods, friends or roommates and sit in your car. Then you can be unmasked in your car, be comfortable, but then still be safe from other people and other students," says a member of Student Activities, Jaci Tourtellott.

The drive-in was held outside the Mitchell Auditorium, where the third Harry Potter movie, the Prisoner of Askaban was projected on a large screen for everyone to watch from their cars.
