Despite the wind whipping off Lake Superior, craft beer lovers lounged on the rocky shoreline of the Glensheen Mansion Wednesday night.

It was the second of the Beer Garden series. Bent Paddle was the featured local brewer.

"It's really casual. We get to have beer by the lake and by the gorgeous mansion," Bent Paddle cofounder Laura Mullen said. "And it's just fun to be able to talk to a new crowd about Bent Paddle and the beer scene in Duluth in general."

Entrance to the Glensheen grounds is free, and food and drinks are available for purchase inside. Staff set up lawn games and had music playing too.

"The Duluth brewery scene is fantastic. And Chester and Clara had a trend and kind of a thing for highlighting local Minnesota talent," Glensheen Marketing Manager Jane Pederson Jandl said. "And so this is our spin and our take on honoring Chester and Clara's love of Minnesota craftsmen and women."

The Beer Garden runs from 6-9 p.m. every Wednesday in June.
