There's a sweet new tour of Duluth to check out this Christmas season. Just follow your nose down the gingerbread trail!
Art Education students at UMD helped put together the city's first-ever Gingerbread City Walking Tour. There are five locations all hosting a few community creations in a holiday window display.
"Kids are able to come, and they'll be able to see their gingerbread house, and they'll be able to know that they made that," says Karley Graves, one of the students who helped initiate the tour. "I think that that's super cool, to be able to put kids' artwork not just on the wall of a school. It's really in public!"
The public is invited to stroll through downtown Duluth to see gingerbread houses at participating businesses. The sites include:
The walking tour begins Saturday, December 12 and runs through January 2.
