There's a way you can send some holiday cheer to troops overseas, and it's pretty sweet!

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is holding their annual Fudge for Troops event, in both the Canal Park store, and the kiosk at the Miller Hill Mall.

For every pound of fudge that is sold, the chocolate factory is donating a pound of fudge, sending it overseas to the soldiers keeping us safe.

"In the month of November and December, we make all of fudge," says Manager, Brittany Rapp. "It's usually between 500 and 600 lbs. And we have teamed up with the Blue Star Mothers, and they put together care packages to send overseas for us."

The offer is available through the month of September, and this is the 11th year of this annual fudge-raiser.

Rapp says it's all about making sure the troops know we appreciate them back here at home. "We try to keep it local, so they know it's from the area and we're grateful. I've had friends that have told me they've received it, and they just like knowing that we care."

"We've had some families of troops, and troops themselves come in and just thank us, because it reminds them that there are people here that care about them, and are grateful for what they do for us."

For anyone who would like to purchase fudge, but limit contact, they are offering curbside pickup if you give them a call. You can also have some sweet treats delivered to your home, through Door Dash.
