The Duluth Public Library kicked-off their annual Friends of the Duluth Public Library event with a pre-sale for members only. The sale opens up to everyone Tuesday from 10 A.M. to 7 P.M., on Wednesday, from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. and Thursday from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M., taking place at the main library downtown.

This is the 41st year the sale has taken place.

The first ever sale raised $3,646 in 1980. Organizers are hoping to raise over $15,000 this year.

From antique books to picture books- there is something for everyone at this sale.

The proceeds will help fund various library events for all ages. This includes the seasonal Reading Programs, Take and Makes for kids and adults, and Kaleidoscope- a free outdoor summer entertainment program series for children.
