A garage in Grand Lake Township is a total loss after a fire Friday evening.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office reports that multiple departments responded to the report of a garage fire on the 6100 block of Old Miller Trunk Highway in Grand Lake Township at approximately 7:10 p.m.
When they arrived, they found the garage engulfed in flames and beginning to spread to the house located about 10-15 feet away.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, firefighters successfully extinguished the fire before the house received any structural damage, but the garage was determined to be a total loss.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
