Duluth's iconic Skyline Parkway has fully reopened ahead of the Independence Day weekend.

The city had closed several stretches of the road in early April to give more room for people to walk, run, and bicycle during the early days of the pandemic. At the time, the city's natural surface trails were closed due to the annual spring thaw, but they have since reopened.

Some parts of the road reopened in early June but others remained closed, including the stretch near Enger Park and another in West Duluth. The last stretches reopened Wednesday.

Access to Enger Park was restored in early June when Hank Jensen Drive reopened.
