Duluth Police seize loaded weapons during traffic stop

The Duluth Police Department seized four loaded handguns and a loaded magazine during a traffic stop early Sunday morning.

Authorities say officers received the report of a vehicle swerving while exiting I-35 onto Mesaba Ave at approximately 3:10am.

According to authorities, the reporting party followed the vehicle until squads located it in the area of the 100 Block of E 4th St and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, officers located the weapons.

Authorities say a 25 year old male was transported to St. Louis County Jail for a warrant and Possession of a Firearm with an Altered Serial Number.

Additionally, a 29 year old male was also transported to St. Louis County Jail for Possession of a Firearm with an Altered Serial Number and Possession of a Handgun in a Motor Vehicle.
