The first was a break in at the Speedway at 5310 E Superior St. at 10:52 p.m. Sunday night.

The others were burglaries at the Smoke Shop at 2232 Mt. Shadow Drive and the Piedmont Liquor Store at 2818 Piedmont Ave., which took place early Monday morning. The theft was less than $500 at each location.

"It’s unbelievable, even the amount that he took from what we could tell is not that much. Why would you put yourself at risk with prison sentence, and the hassle over a few items? It’s mind baffling to be honest with you,” said Miller Hill Smoke Shop owner Mike Wazwaz.

Wazwaz says his Superior store was also burglarized, and he says be believes the same person is responsible.

He is offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the burglar.

No injuries were reported in the Duluth incidents, and police say there is no one in custody at the moment.

It is not known whether or not the Duluth incidents are related. The break-in and burglaries are under investigation.
