While many have spent more time indoors because of the pandemic, local park programs are still helping get people outdoors.

Duluth Parks & Recreation Department has lots of options to enjoy our environment before colder weather comes our way. Activities make use of all the city's parks, and are good for families and people of all ages.

They've tweaked their programs to keep everyone safe during the pandemic as well, including requiring participants to wear masks..

"All of our programs are within the guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Health," said Megan Lidd, Recreation Specialist for the Duluth Parks & Recreation Department. "Outdoors right now we can have up to 25 people in our programs and some of them are capped at different levels depending on those programs."

A list of the programs offered this fall can be found at the link on the city's Parks & Recreation website

Activities include a number of different hikes, nature knowledge classes, and archery activities for archers of all skill levels.
