So many community events across the Northland have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Duluth Lions Club Pancake Day was one of these events, scheduled for early May. For 62 years, the Duluth Lions Club Pancake Day brinsgs over 9,000 community members together at the DECC to enjoy delicious pancakes and sausage, while raising money for the many projects supported by the Duluth Lions Club.

Pancake Day is the largest fundraiser for the Duluth Lions Club. The event helps raise awareness for the work that the Lions Club does in our communities, while raising funds for vision, hearing, diabetes, and youth community service programs here in the Northland.

Originally, Pancake Day was postponed until September 10, however based on recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health and the Governor's office, organizers had to get creative.

WDIO is partnering with the Duluth Lions Club for a special telethon event during all of our newscasts. The goal is to raise money and awareness for the work the Lions Club does in our area.  We will hold a phone bank encouraging viewers to support this important community cause and learn more about the Duluth Lions Club.

Call our toll free number: 877-949-0383 to donate, then join us by making pancakes at home.

This year's Duluth Lions Club Pancake Telethon is brought to you by Harbor Pointe Credit Union, Waddell & Reed Financial Advisors, Lake Rock Wealth Management, and Manifest Wealth Management.

We also would like to thank: Superior Choice Credit Union, Clarity Hearing Center, Contract Tile and Carpet, Edgewood Vista, Northern Trends, Raymond James, TKDA Architects, and Weis Eye Center.

If you already had tickets for the May 7, 2020 event, you will be able to be exchanged for tickets dated May 6, 2021 next year or they will be accepted at the 2021 event.
