Duluth Police took a suspect in custody after a hit-and-run on Tuesday morning. Police say around 11:20 Tuesday morning, they were called to a reported assault on the 200 Block of W 4th Street.  Police say one of the people involved ran the other over with their vehicle before fleeing westbound on 4th Street.   

Police requested the public's help to find the vehicle, but announced shortly before 3:00 p.m. it had been located. 

Officers spoke to multiple witnesses, viewed surveillance footage, and were able to locate the suspect who allegedly admitted their involvement in the incident.

The victim of the hit-and-run was conscious and taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The suspect was brought to the County Jail on preliminary charges of 2nd Degree Assault.
