There's nothing like a barbecue on the Fourth of July and on Saturday, the Duluth Harbor Mission hosted a free barbecue for the community.

This took place outside the Harrison Community Center and included picnic style food, music and prayer.

Folks were asked to bring lawn chairs to the event which spanned for much of the afternoon.

“Our mission is to take care of everyone and help everyone the best we can and try to unite and keep us all focused on one thing and that's Jesus Christ in that he brought us here and we're here for him, so we're here for people. A lot of kids have come by and gotten lunches and had fun and that's what it’s all about,” Christine Koosman, Vice President of Duluth Harbor Mission said.

This was the Duluth Harbor Mission's second annual Fourth of July barbecue.

The event was made possible through donations.
