The College of St. Scholastica celebrated a major milestone on Tuesday night, with $50-million dollars raised since the launch of their college priorities campaign in 2014, the "second century of saints."
Among its signature accomplishments, $10-million dollars for student scholarships, renovating the simulation labs in the school of nursing building and the health sciences center at bluestone.
Dr. Barbara McDonald, president of the College said, "We have so much to be thankful for, yet we know our work is far from over." She added, "We know that the dreams set forth by our founding sisters over 100 years, buildings like abbeys built of stone, where within those walls higher education would flourish, is the same dream that continues to shape and inspire everything we do as a catholic, Benedictine institution of higher learning."
The campaign focuses on providing targeted support for students to enhance their experience at the college and to better ensure their successes in the classroom and in the future.
