CHUM's Rhubarb Festival to return

Rhubarb lovers can get their fix next weekend at CHUM's Rhubarb Festival and preparations for it are already underway.

The weeklong celebration kicked off on Sunday leading up to the Rhubarb Festival next Saturday at First United Methodist or Coppertop Church.

This is a different location as it is usually held outside of First Lutheran Church.

There will be activities for kids, rhubarb treats and rhubarb festival gear to buy.

“We pick rhubarb because it's so resilient, it's an early crop, people love it, it's a specialty of the region, and we have all kinds of fun,” Lee Stewart, the Executive Director at CHUM said.

It will a combination of both in-person and online events.

All of the proceeds from the event will go to CHUM.
