Miller Hill Subaru virtual Love-A-Pet adoption event for Animal Allies

Animal Allies Humane Society has been hosting the annual Miller Hill Subaru Love-A-Pet adoption event for years with the mission to help clear animal shelters across the nation but this time they won't be able to do it in person.

Instead, Animal Allies will be hosting it virtually through the month of October. People will be able to schedule times to come see the adorable cats and dogs that are looking for a forever home. There's going to be discounted adoption fees and microchipping.

"We are doing visitors by appointment only but we do have plenty of openings for appointments and folks can come and get acquainted a dog or cat and talk to our adoption counselors and find the right fit," said Daryl Yankee, the director of operations for Animal Allies.

Yankee said there's always plenty of cats available for adoption. He also asks folks to be patient because the process will take a bit longer than it normally would.

The event is done by Miller Hill Subaru, Babinski Foundation, Lake County Humane Society, ASPCA, and Animal Allies Humane Society.
