Over 1,000 fairgoers have been vaccinated at this year's Great  Minnesota Get Together.

According to a release from Governor Tim Walz's office, 1,199 visitors have receivied their first dose at the COVID-19 Community Vaccination Clinic at the Minnesota State Fair.

Minnesotans who get their first dose at the clinic can receive a $100 Visa gift card on site. Of the 3,600 gift cards available, Fairgoers have claimed 1,183.

According to Walz, this puts Minnesota at the top of the Midwest list in terms of state fair vaccinations.

The Community Vaccine Clinic will be open daily 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Labor Day. State Fair tickets are required to enter State Fairgrounds, but no appointment is required for vaccinations on site.
