The number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Minnesota is now at 115, the state Department of Health announced Friday, with no cases in northeastern Minnesota.
That's up from 89 cases as of Thursday. The numbers are released a day after test results come in.
The cases are in 21 counties in northwestern, central, and southern Minnesota, an increase of three counties from Thursday. Friday's new cases are in Chisago, Fillmore, and Rice counties.
Cases had already been confirmed in Anoka, Benton, Blue Earth, Carver, Clay, Dakota, Hennepin, Martin, Mower, Nicollet, Olmsted, Ramsey, Renville, Scott, Stearns, Waseca, Washington, and Wright counties.
The MDH website says approximately 3,856 patients have been tested.
