For some, the traditional trick-or-treating will be off the table. But there are some other options out there.

On Friday, there is a Drive-Thru Trick or Treat event at the Cloquet Community Center Library. It's from 1:30-6pm, on Friday. One bag per child, all districts are welcome. Please wear a mask.

On Saturday, Neighborhood Youth Services has organized their first ever Trunk or Treat event. It will be from 12pm-4pm, down in Canal Park, at the Lake City parking lot. It's across from Little Angie's, between the hotels. Anyone is welcome.

Pez Davila, NYS program director, said, "It's about getting kids excited, and getting them outside, and seeing people with social distance. We're creating as much of a trick or treating type atmosphere as possible. Yes, we're not going door to door, but we've got trunks!"

They've already got the candy bagged up and ready to go. Other businesses and groups will also be there.

And area churches are hosting drive-through style events. At Pilgrim Congregational Church in Duluth, the youth group is busy making a Hogwarts theme. Grace Beaster said, "We thought it would make ours a little unique."

She said they are going have props like a flying car and a potion stand. "The spirit of Halloween can be in community, and even if we have to wear masks, we can still get together and have fun safely." They will also be collecting items for CHUM if you stop by.

Candy will be passed out with gloves. People will be wearing masks. And the candy will have been quarantined for two weeks.

Hours are from 4-6pm on Saturday. The churches are:

1) First United Methodist (230 E Skyline)

2) Forbes United Methodist (33 Grove St, Proctor)

3) Hillside United Methodist (1801 Piedmont Ave)

4) Hope United Methodist (301 W St. Marie St.)

5) Faith United Methodist (1531 Hughitt Ave, Superior)

6) Pilgrim Congregational (2310 E 4th St.)

7) First Lutheran Church (1100 E Superior St.)

8) Bethany Community Church (6700 Grand Ave.)
