Fill the Boot goes online this year, donations already coming in

Updated: August 04, 2020 05:43 PM

Fill the Boot is going virtual this year, because of the pandemic. The annual fundraiser involves the Duluth firefighters, who would collect money in their boots at busy intersections. That money supports the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

"The money helps with medical equipment and treatment, and it stays local," shared Christopher Orman, a Duluth firefighter. "We are huge believers in this."

Their goal this year is $30,000. "We are grateful for the support of the community. Hopefully we can get back out there next year and see those smiling faces," Orman added.
