Concerns over the coronavirus pandemic and the need to keep people safe has lead to many of our favorite summer events and pastimes to be canceled or delayed. We have started a list to help you plan your summer.  If you have an event that you would like to share, please email: news@wdio.com.  This list is alphabetical, and will be updated periodically.

JUNE EVENTS

  • Duluth's Park and Recreation programs have been canceled or postponed
  • Duluth's athletic complexes are closed until at least July 1
  • Grandma's Marathon is canceled
  • Lake Superior and Mississippi Railroad is closed until July 1
  • Lake Superior Zoo closed until July 1
  • Land of the Loon Festival in Virginia canceled
  • Park Point Beach House closed until July 1 (beach is open, practice safe distancing)
  • Spring Fever Days races in Carlton County have been canceled
  • Wade Stadium closed until July 1
  • Wheeler Athletic Complex closed until July 1

JULY EVENTS

  • Bayfront Country Jam scheduled for July 2 has been postponed until July, 2020.
  • Blueberry Art Festival in Ely has been canceled
  • Duluth July Fourth Celebration canceled, delayed until Labor Day 
  • Duluth's Sidewalk Days Festival scheduled for July 8-10 is canceled
  • South St. Louis County Fair has been canceled.  Story
  • Spirit Valley Days festival canceled   Story
  • Taste of Duluth, scheduled for July 25th has been postponed until September 12th, 2020

AUGUST EVENTS

  • All Pints North beer festival on Aug. 1 is canceled. There will be a virtual event instead.
  • Bayfront Blues Fest, set for August 14-16 has been canceled. Story
  • City on the Hill Music Festival canceled
  • Dragon Boat Festival in Superior is canceled.
  • Itasca Co. Fair is canceled. Story.
  • King & Country concert scheduled August 6th at Bayfront Festival Park has been postponed until August 5th, 2021.
  • Kraus-Anderson Bike Duluth Festival on August 7-9 at Spirit Mountain has been postponed until 2021
  • Minnesota State Fair canceled.   Story
  • St. Louis County Fair canceled.   Story
  • Tall Timber Days Festival in Grand Rapids is canceled.
  • Wisconsin State Fair canceled. Story

ADDITIONAL SUMMER EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

  • Big Top Chautauqua has canceled all summer 2020 concerts and events
  • DSSO is unable to reschedule Spring Concert series
