Shannon Tanski Cornelius knows and loves many first responder and front line type workers, who can't stay home during the COVID-19 outbreak.
So she and partners including Jonathan Reznick who owns Midcoast Catering, and Justin Juntunen, who is the founder of Cedar & Stone Nordic Sauna, have launched a website called Duluth Strong, to help match food and services to people who want to help those workers. Tanski Cornelius owns the Hermantown Yellow Bike Coffee, and the one in Fitger's.
"People go, hey I want to donate $100 and I want it to go to the firefighters. So that person buys a gift card. I turn around and use it to produce coffee and cookies and food, and we deliver it. We're paying it forward, using what we do. Then I will buy locally from vendors who need support right now, too," Tanski Cornelius shared.
