Cases are confirmed in both children and adults. And the number is anticipated to grow as test results are confirmed.

The hockey event included eight teams from three states.

Earlier this week, Bayfield County Health officials say a fourth COVID-19 case in Bayfield County may have been connected to a hockey event in Ashland.

The patient had recently attended a large gathering and was believed to have been exposed at that event," a news release from the Bayfield County Health Department says.

The release says the person became ill on July 1 after attending a hockey summer practice on June 27 and 28 in Ashland, but officials don't specify which venue the person was exposed at.
