Lake County is Goin' Bald for Business

Updated: September 25, 2020 05:52 PM

The Lake County Chamber has launched its Goin' Bald for Business fundraiser. A group of brave men and one woman have volunteered to shave or cut their hair, if they can raise $1000.

The chamber has had to cancel most of their usual fundraising events, and businesses are still struggling during COVID.

This is a creative way to raise money. The lone woman, Kiera Wilson, has already hit the goal and will cut her hair up to her ears on Monday.

Sheriff Carey Johnson is one of the clipper contestants. "At first, I was like, no! But then, I thought, hopefully it will grow back someday," he laughed. He's had short hair before, when he was in the military.

You can donate through Halloween. Click the link below!
