Time Magazine is reporting that the messages telling users they have sent out duplicate friend requests are making their way around the social Networking site.

The message says the sender has received a duplicate friend request from the recipient. The message tells the receiver to "forward the same message" to their friends.

Facebook officials said on Sunday that your account is not sending out duplicate friend requests, and you did not receive a request from the person forwarding it to you.

They say the best thing to do is to ignore the message or just delete it.  If you think you have been hacked, you can always report it to the social media site.
