UWS Holds Listening Session For Strategic Planning

October 13, 2015 10:53 PM

The University of Wisconsin System hosted its seventh listening session at UW-Superior Monday to find out what community and business leaders want from the university to better the state.

UW System President Ray Cross said with a better university comes a better state and vice versa.

"One of the things we keep hearing is the university needs to collaborate more and form more partnerships, work more closely with businesses, with K-12, with the technical colleges," Cross said. "I think that's a very good theme. We should be."

After the 14 listening sessions, Cross said the next phase is to pull themes from broad categories. Leaders will develop strategic plans and form action plans.
