Northland musher Nathan Schroeder has set his sights on the 2016 Iditarod.

Sign up for the Last Great Race on Earth opened Saturday morning. According to the Iditarod's Facebook page, Schroeder is one of 62 mushers who signed up for next year's race.

This won't be Schroeder's first Iditarod, however. His team came in 24th place at this year's Iditarod. Last year, Schroeder came in 17th, and earned Rookie of the Year.

The 2016 Iditarod starts March 5.
