Batch 4000 is a chocolate chili milk stout.

Master Brewer Dave Hoops says it's a beer he's never tried before but calls the experiment a success.

Hoops calls Batch 4000 a unique beer full of flavor, describing the taste as a light chocolate milk shake with a warm, spicy finish.

The new brew is also helping mark another milestone at the Brewhouse - their 20 year anniversary.

"It's unbelievable, it's quite a milestone," explained Hoops. "When I arrived here, in Minnesota there were four breweries and now there are more than 100. To have been here for 20 years and to watch this industry grow into the juggernaut that it has become, it's been really, really fun."

The new brew will be on tap starting Thursday. The Brewhouse is celebrating Batch 4000 with a toast from Hoops at 9 p.m., followed by live music from The Boomchucks.
